Executive Board | Planning CommitteesNominating Committee CommitteeStatement of Purpose, Role and ScopePurposeThe Nomination Committee brings to the Executive Board a slate of candidates to fill upcoming vacancies on the Board in accordance with the distribution in Section 2.2B of the Charter.RoleThe Nomination Committee seeks names from Board members and Institute members, determines willingness to serve, and presents its recommendations to the Executive Board for a vote. The number of recommendations is equal to the number of openings, or anticipated openings, on the Board. If any of the candidates do not receive the required 75 percent vote for appointment, the Nomination Committee must present additional recommendations.The Chair of the Nomination Committee may decide on the structure, timing, and frequency of meetings as needed to meet its purpose. ScopeThe Nomination Committee recommendations must fulfill the membership category distribution as dictated by the Charter. The Nomination Committee may not recommend more candidates than there are openings, or anticipated openings. |
