Statement of Purpose, Role and Scope
Purpose
The Membership Committee assists the Institute Director in recruiting new and maintaining existing Institute members.
Role
The Membership Committee assists the Director to identify, contact and obtain new members of the Institute. It also contacts/surveys existing members to assess the value of membership and to encourage more active participation in Institute events and to remit dues or payments.
Scope
The Membership Committee assists in increasing membership revenues, both by obtaining additional memberships and by encouraging higher level memberships. The Institute Executive Board in the annual budgeting process by providing a forecast of expected memberships and membership revenues.
